Learning at DWA

Senior High Program - Grades 10 to 12

DWA graduates have a 96% university placement rate. This is a great endorsement of the educational program and school culture that has been established at DWA. The senior students are the leaders, and foster the sense of community and pride that all of the students enjoy.

DWA high school promotes an academic learning program designed to ensure the greatest number of post-secondary choices for graduates. It encourages a more academic load to prepare students for university; not just to qualify for entrance, but to succeed in their chosen faculties. DWA also features the Advanced Placement (AP) program. This is the equivalent of a first year university course taken over the last two years of high school. Completion of this course stream allows students to write the College Board exams enabling universities to grant early credits if students have earned an acceptable mark.

The Vertical Integration Curriculum program provides a smooth transition from one grade to the next, emphasizing the introduction of selected concepts and skills from the next grade. Classes are generally 70 minutes long allowing for a variety of activities during class and ample opportunity for the teacher to interact with and dedicate some time to each student.

Please see below for the academic course roster available to be completed by the end of Grade 12.
