Admission Procedure

Welcome to Delta West Academy! In pursuing your interest in enrolling your child(ren), please be aware that the enrollment process consists of the receipt of a completed Admissions package, application fee of $150, a series of interviews with the parents and the child(ren), and testing for all students applying for Grade 7 to Grade 12.

  1. Provide Delta West Academy with a completed Admissions package. Include a completed Application for Admission form (available from the school or on the website), the $150 application fee, copies of the child's birth certificate, two years of report cards including the current year (except for Kindergarten applications), a letter of reference from either the child's current teacher, or a letter of reference from another source who is well acquainted with the child. This may be an instructor, coach, leader or a family friend. Please complete one package per child.

  2. After receipt of the Admissions package, Delta West Academy will contact you to schedule a first interview. This will include a brief tour of the school and a thorough meeting with the Director of Admissions. It is preferred that both parents come for this first discussion for which you should allow up to 45 minutes. The interview can still go ahead even if testing has not yet been completed.

  3. A second interview is scheduled with the prospective student if the enrollment of your child at DWA is considered by both the school and the family to be a sound educational choice.

  4. A decision on the student's eligibility to DWA is rendered and communicated within one week, unless test results are pending. Please be prepared to pay the first installment of the tuition ($1000.00 per child) to complete the registration process after which an official letter of enrollment finalizes registration.
