School FeesTuition Fees for the 2010-2011 School Year:
For families with more than one child,the siblings receive a 10% discount per student tuition. Supplemental FeesNew Family Membership Fee: A one-time payment of $2500 per family for membership in the Delta West Academy Society valid for any child regardless of the date of registration.
Volunteer Deposit : A one time volunteer committment deposit of $800 per family. If the family's volunteer committment (25 hours) is honored every year, it does not need to be re-submitted. The deposit is refunded when the family leaves the school or can be directed back to the school to the legacy of their choice eligible for a tax-deductible charity receipt. Program Fee: A program fee per student for the school agenda, yearbook, transportation, enrichment materials and activities.
Technology Fee: $600 for students in grade 6 to 9 for a dedicated school laptop. High school students are responsible for providing their their own laptops to use at school. Event fees:Two tickets to the June Commencement and Awards Ceremonies are reserved at $220. Additional tickets for both events are available prior to the events.(The cost of the tickets is subject to change without notice.) The annual Charity Gala tickets are invoiced seperatley by the Delta West Foundation. The After School Care (ASC) program is available for students from Jr. Kindergarten to Grade 6. For Kindergarten students, this is a structured, activity-oriented program. For elementary students, a portion of assigned homework is expected to be completed followed by an activity period. Drop-in students are welcome and are invoiced accordingly. School Care Please call the office at 403.290.0767 for times and rates. New Applicants: An application fee of $150 per applicant is due prior to the first interview. $1000 is due upon acceptance to DWA. Access Fund: Financial assistance is available for families whose children are successful candidates for the Delta West Academy program. Please contact the Head of School for further information. Payment ScheduleNew FamiliesThe first tuition fee installment of $1000 per student is due at the time of acceptance. Post-dated cheques for the remainder of the tuition and supplemental fees are submitted within 10 business days. Returning FamiliesA confirmation payment of $2000 is due on February 1 for the next school year. All FamiliesMay 1 $1000 per child June 1 $1000 per child; $2000 per junior or senior high student. August 1 $3000 per child $1000 per kindergarten child. September 1 Remainder of tuition fees unless on a payment plan. Supplemental fees are due. Please choose one of the following payment schedules convenient to your needs.
For outstanding accounts more than 30 days, interest of 24% per annum is charged. WithdrawalIf a student withdraws for any reason before starting the school year or during the school year, including dismissal by the school, no tuition or fees, paid or due, are refunded or waived. If a student is not intending to return for the next school year, written notice must be submitted by February 1. If written notice is not received by this date, the family is committed for the next year's tuition and fees. This protects the school community from financial loss due to late withdrawals. - ALL PAYMENTS AND FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE - |
