Remembrance Day is the culmination of several weeks of activities to remember and honour those who served and continue to serve.
Our whole school community, all of our students, teachers and many parents, have placed a carnation on each of the 3400 crosses on the Field of Crosses along Memorial Drive.
DWA has been involved in this proud effort since the inception of Field of Crosses and we are honoured to continue this tradition.
Next, select students will participate in the Sunrise Ceremony and our annual Breakfast With Veterans. We are one of only five schools who share this privilege of visiting with veterans. All of these activities provide strong real-life links leading up to the actual Remembrance Day.
Lastly, our annual Veterans' Food Bank drive started today and will continue for two weeks. If you would like to contribute, please bring a non-perishable food item to the office.
